• Dems Gut Fence Spending To Give To Illegal Immigrant Defense Lawyers
This better make somebody angry. I don’t even have a lot to say for this except that it speaks for itself.
Congress last night passed a giant new spending bill that undermines current plans for a U.S.-Mexico border fence, allowing the Homeland Security Department to build a single-tier barrier rather than the two-tier version that has worked in California. …
“The fact that this was buried in a bloated, 3,500-page omnibus speaks volumes about the Democrats’ unserious approach on border security and illegal immigration,” said House Minority Leader John A. Boehner, Ohio Republican. “Gutting the Secure Fence Act will make our borders less secure, but it’s consistent with the pattern of behavior we’ve seen all year from this majority.”
The 2006 Secure Fence Act specifically called for “two layers of reinforced fencing” and listed five specific sections of border where it should be installed. The new spending bill removes the two-tier requirement and the list of locations.
House Republican Whip Roy Blunt of Missouri said the bill is full of “misguided” policy decisions: “On one page, for instance, you will find a set of new restrictions on the construction of our security fence along the border; on another, $10 million in ‘emergency’ funding for attorneys of illegal immigrants.
What the hell? This is apparently the “New Direction” for the left. Ignore Homeland Security by keeping the borders open, then allow criminals who have no rights in the US to get a defense for their crimes and completely ignore the fact that some statistics say that 80% of the US feels that closing the border is the most important issue of our time.

• 19 Democrats vote NO to Christmas! (Updated)
Christmas. Or should I say the “War On Christmas!” The “War On Terror” is just a bumper sticker but the “War On Christmas” is now a legislative reality.
Yesterday on Capital Hill there was a vote, actually several votes regarding observances of several religious holidays.
Excerpts from three recent House resolutions regarding religious observances:
RAMADAN
HR 635: “Acknowledges the onset of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, and conveys its respect to Muslims in the United States and throughout the world on this occasion.”
Approved 376-0DIWALI
HR 747: “Acknowledges the onset of Diwali and expresses its deepest respect to Indian Americans and the Indian Diaspora throughout the world on this significant occasion.”
Approved 358-0CHRISTMAS
HR 847: “Acknowledges the international religious and historical importance of Christmas and the Christian faith.”
Approved 372-9
Whoa, wait a minute… What was the vote on that last one? This couldn’t be right… 372-9?
Surprise surprise, several Democrats drew the line at recognizing Christmas.
Nine Democrats voted No – Ackerman, Clarke, DeGette, Hastings (FL), Lee, McDermott, Scott (VA), Stark and Woolsey.
10 Democrats and 1 Republican voted “Present.” – Conyers, Frank (MA), Holt, Payne, Schakowsky, Schwartz, Wasserman Schultz, Welch (VT) and Yarmuth (Which to ME is the same as voting no).
This is interesting because of this group 17 of the 18 D’s above voted FOR the resolution honoring Ramadan!
What the hell? This vote wasn’t to get extra days off, or to funnel government funds into buying Christmas trees or more ornaments for the White House Christmas tree, it was simply to recognize that Christmas is important to CHRISTIANS! I find it hard to believe that the Democrats listed above could possibly represent the people that they were elected to represent. The people in their districts should be outside of their offices pelting the buildings with ornaments and fruitcakes. The left is constantly misrepresenting the people of this country and the idea that anyone could vote against what is obviously the holiday observed by the majority of Americans is INCONCEIVABLE!

McDermott said the resolution was a Republican tactic designed to draw attention from pressing issues in Congress, including legislation to boost funding of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, or SCHIP. President Bush vetoed a bill Thursday that would have expanded the program.
McDermott supported House resolutions this fall to recognize the Islamic holy month of Ramadan and the festival of Diwali, celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains. He drew the line at Christmas, he said, because the resolution only stated “obvious facts” that Christianity was the predominant faith in the U.S. and that many Christians and non-Christians celebrated Christmas.
“It’s Christmas time. There’re lots of Christians in the U.S. Hurray for Christmas. It’s ridiculous,” McDermott said, giving his take on the resolution.
Rather than “wasting time on this stuff,” he said, people should be protesting Bush’s vetoes of expanding health insurance for children.
“We’re talking about Christmas, and we do not care about kids in the state of Washington,” McDermott said.

• Arizona Requiring All Business To Use E-Verify Employment-Eligibility Program
Over the last few weeks those of us living in Arizona have been bombarded by the media with stories about the State of Arizona requiring all businesses to use the E-Verify Employment-Eligibility Program starting on January 1, 2008. This program makes it easy for employers to check the eligibility of new employees by simply logging into the E-Verify website, entering the employees information that they provide on the standard I9 form that every new employee must fill out when hired. This is going to make sure that all Arizona business comply with the Legal Arizona Workers Act.
Beginning Jan. 1, all business owners in Arizona risk losing their state and local licenses if they knowingly or intentionally hire undocumented workers after that date. Licenses can be suspended for 10 days or longer for a first offense and revoked altogether for a second offense.
Basically this is going to prevent Arizona businesses from hiring illegal aliens. Presumably the companies are hiring these illegal because they will work for far less than the minimum wage and in return stuff the employer’s wallets. It could also be argued that the hiring of these illegal aliens also drive the overall wages down making it impossible for legal citizens to get a fair wage. It is estimated that there are 150,000 illegal aliens working in the State of Arizona currently. Nearly 6,000 employers had signed up for E-Verify, compared with fewer than 450 before the sanctions law was signed by the governor in July. Still, the 6,000 constitute just a fraction of the state’s 150,000 employers.
Now onto the part that all of you came here to read. I’m sure you can see all of the people you regularly see on the news who make excuses for the illegal aliens foaming in their drool cups right now and crapping themselves with anger. Here in Phoenix we are continually accused of being racists, nazis, fear-mongers and bigots for wanting our government to follow it’s own laws. So here it is…
Julie Pace, an attorney for the business groups, said the latest lawsuit contains the same arguments the first one did against the employer-sanctions law – that it’s an unconstitutional attempt by the state to regulate immigration and that cracking down on hiring illegal immigrants is the sole responsibility of the federal government.
The plaintiffs are providing evidence including a declaration by an Arizona employer who states that he is knowingly hiring an undocumented worker and intends to do so after Jan. 1 and has been specifically threatened by the county attorney that he is going to be prosecuted under the new law, Pace said Monday.

Now what I did was go to the website, I signed up, took a quick test on procedures, passed the test without even reading the manual, got certified, went in and E-Verified myself all in the span of about 20 minutes. Assuming that you had already gone through the certification process it would take less than 5 minutes for each person you needed to verify and receive a positive or negative reaction from the program.
Any business owner in Arizona or in America for that matter would be hard pressed to find something inconvenient about the program. Except those who want to hire illegals. There are many more nuances about the law that I could get into but I’m lazy and I don’t think you really care. So through out this post are important links to information regarding the topic. It came to light a few weeks ago that the CIA/Men In Black had used water-boarding to extract information from 3 al-Qaeda suspects. Those suspects being Khalid “Shake Shake Shake” Mohamed, Abu Zubaydah and a third as-of-now unnamed suspect. Zubaydah, the first high-ranking al-Qaeda member captured after the September 11 terrorist attacks, broke 35 seconds after he was subjected to the technique, said John Kiriakou, who served as a CIA interrogator in Pakistan. After that Abu Zubaydah began providing interrogators with information that led to the disruption of “maybe dozens” of planned attacks, Mr Kiriakou said.
Mr Kiriakou said he was given a detailed description of the waterboarding by fellow team members. The next day Abu Zubaydah told his captors he would tell them whatever they wanted, Mr Kiriakou said. “He said that Allah had come to him in his cell and told him to co-operate, because it would make things easier for his brothers.”
Yeah right. the only thing that came to him in the middle of the night was his yellow streak and it’s one thing all of them have in common. They’re all cowards. But the real question is who are the people who are publicly chastising the GOP for using these techniques and why now? This is all stemming from the public being told that tapes of these interrogations had been destroyed. This is about 50 blog posts worth of info so I am just going to say this, the CIA had permission from it’s lawyers to destroy those tapes and to be honest with you, good for them. In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody. For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA’s overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.
Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.
“The briefer was specifically asked if the methods were tough enough,” said a U.S. official who witnessed the exchange.
Individual lawmakers’ recollections of the early briefings varied dramatically, but officials present during the meetings described the reaction as mostly quiet acquiescence, if not outright support. “Among those being briefed, there was a pretty full understanding of what the CIA was doing,” said Goss, who chaired the House intelligence committee from 1997 to 2004 and then served as CIA director from 2004 to 2006. “And the reaction in the room was not just approval, but encouragement.”

Holiday Cards to Injured Service Members This Holiday Season
The following message is from Neal Denton, Senior Vice President, Service to the Armed Forces: Sen This holiday season, we have a great opportunity to bring a touch of home to wounded warriors recovering in military hospitals across the country.
As you may know, the American public has a strong desire to send holiday cards to soldiers staying at Walter Reed and other military medical centers. However, for security reasons, the former military program was discontinued. One of our colleagues at Walter Reed suggested, “If anyone can find a solution to this – it’s the Red Cross.”
We’re proud that this season, communities across America are invited to mail holiday greeting cards along with personal messages of support to wounded soldiers at military hospitals around the country, through a unique partnership of the American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes Mailing Solutions.
Now we have a solution that will not only benefit soldiers at Walter Reed, but also recovering soldiers at military hospitals around the nation. With the help of the Department of Defense, Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Pitney Bowes, between now and December 27, members of the public will be invited to mail their holiday cards to:

Up until a few days ago the Phoenix Police Department was unable to call ICE or the Border Patrol when they caught a criminal who was suspected of being an illegal alien except under special circumstances. Their hands were tied by Police Operations Order 1.4 that is the order that currently prescribes and dictates exactly when a Phoenix Police Officer can call Immigration and Customs authorities — and when they cannot. It is the same Order that has caused Phoenix to be labeled by some as a “Sanctuary City”. In recent weeks, talk-radio hosts and newspaper columnists have battered Gordon for failing to quell a dispute over day laborers at M.D. Pruitt’s Home Furnishings, where 200 people gathered to protest on Saturday. But if you ask me I think they should just let them keep protesting because THE ILLEGAL ALIENS KEEP GOING OUT AND PROTESTING!
Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s human smuggling unit arrested 8 more illegal immigrants outside Pruitt’s Furniture on Saturday. That brings the total to 32 arrests over a 6-week period in which Sheriff’s deputies have been enforcing state and federal immigration laws througout Maricopa County.
Pro-illegal immigration and day laborer protesters have been lining up outside the Thomas road store, protesting the store and the Sheriff’s illegal immigration enforcement.
Arpaio says those protesters will be arrested and put in jail if they violate any laws on the Pruitt’s store property.
Well, (D) Mayor Phil Gordon has decided to change Police Operations Order 4.1! Gordon and city have come under criticism for the existing policy after the shooting death of a Phoenix Police officer by an illegal immigrant from Mexico. There are an estimated 579,000 illegals in the state making up 12 percent of Arizona’s work force, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.
The revised policy is being reviewed now by former U.S. Attorney Paul Charlton, former U.S. Attorney Jose Rivera, former Arizona Attorney General Grant Woods and former Maricopa County Attorney Rick Romley and they have been asked to make their decision by December 31. This revised policy would apparently untie police and sheriffs deputies allowing them to call immigration anytime they see fit. Which is exactly what the police union has been asking for for years.
“When it was written, it was right for local law enforcement and our community,” Gordon told reporters. “But it was written in another time – and it was based on the premise that the federal government would fulfill all its responsibilities regarding immigration enforcement. Obviously, that has changed.”
As you would expect apologists for law breaking illegal aliens are wetting their pants and crying their way through boxes of tissues. One real jackass Salvador Reza made the following statement that “Mayor Gordon’s about-face is a result of his listening to a very small group of Minutemen, Nazis, and KKKs”! Are you kidding me?
Hispanic community leaders on Wednesday accused Mayor Phil Gordon of rushing through changes to a police department policy that prohibits officers from questioning the immigration status of people they run across during routine duties. On Monday, the mayor announced the formation of a four-man panel to come up with a revised policy that would allow officers to contact ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) when they have reason to question the immigration status of anyone who’s believed to have committed another infraction.
Basically the apologists and those who believe that they have any sorts of rights in this country because they are not citizen but just happen to be on American soil are slowly being choked out by the overwhelming desire by REAL Americans to stop illegal aliens. Another win for the good guys.

I am asking for all of your help here. 1 year and 8 days ago I bought an Xbox 360. I paid $600 for the console, 2 controllers, hard drive and a couple of games. I played it for 3 months and suddenly got an error on it that said “Unplayable Disk” every time I put something in. So I call their service department and they had me send it in and when they received it they promptly called me to tell me they were just sending me a new one. 3 weeks later I received it and didn’t have any more problems. That is until yesterday.
Yesterday my son tried to play our brand new game “Mass Effect” which we had bought the day before for the low-low price of $59.95. He got the “Unplayable Disk” error again. So when I got home after my 10 hours at work I start the service phone call. A few minutes in the young lady with the latin accent informs me that my warranty is up and they will have to charge me for the repair. That charge? $100! Which includes shipping and handling and gets me a new 1 year warranty and 1 month of Xbox Live (which figures out too be about $2.00). “How long had it been since my warranty expired”, I asked. 8 days ago. 8 DAYS AGO!
Sensing my frustration and apparent lack of sympathy for Microsoft I was transferred to a supervisor. “Mike” gets on the phone and with nearly the same Latin accent tells me he “feels my pain” (I shit you not) and patiently listens to me besmirch his daddy Bill Gates on how he’s putting his penny loafers in the little guys ass. He agreed with me and explains that when I sent the Xbox in the first time (7 months ago) that they fixed it for free but I did not pay the $25 for the extended warranty on the new one they sent me and that the warranty does not start new with the new machine. He says unfortunately there is nothing he can do with the exception of giving me 25% off so my final charge would be $75.00. I then asked what would happen if I had the “3 Flashing Red Lights Of Doom” on it would they still fix it past my warranty…. yes they would! But not my problem, noooooo not my problem.
This is unacceptable people. This is a malfunction that is due to their hardware problems. Not because I was putting grilled cheese sandwiches into it or using it to beat my kids with or using it to scramble eggs with. I have paid my $75. But I told “Mike” that in return for their charging me I would be having my own “Power To The People” moment. Here’s what I am doing, and what I am asking you to do. Just as I told them I would be doing and “Mike” said it was my prerogative to do so.
I will be calling the help center’s phone a minimum of 20 times a day for the next 4 weeks or until I receive my replacement/repaired Xbox. I figure that it would cost them a minimum of $3.00 to just answer the phone when it rings so forecasting 4 weeks at 20 times a day it should equal roughly $1600 by the time I get it back for a $75 charge on equipment that is faulty because they suck.
So I am asking all of you out there to call the following numbers and simply wait on hold until someone picks up and tell them that you are complaining about their service, tell them that your name is Ed Gruberman and simply hang up. When you have done this please just leave me a comment.

Activist Quanell X and dozens of other protesters Sunday faced hundreds of homeowners and supporters of Joe Horn, the Pasadena man who shot and killed two men he suspected of burglarizing a neighbor’s home more than two weeks ago.
Families of the slain men, Miguel Antonio DeJesus, 38, and Diego Ortiz, 30, also were present.
Yard signs lined the 7400 block of Timberline in Pasadena, where the incident took place, as well as on nearby streets.
Residents and Horn supporters waved American flags and carried signs reading, “We love our neighbor for protecting our neighbors” and “Burglary is a risky business.”

“This is a simple way to connect our citizens to our soldiers using modern technology,” Allison Barber, deputy assistant secretary of defense for internal communications and public liaison, said of the text messaging program.
The program, which already has received nearly 4,000 messages, officially kicks off at 6 a.m. EST Nov. 17 and concludes at midnight PST Nov. 22. Between those times, people wishing to express gratitude to the troops for their service can text a brief message to 89279. Each text message sent will receive a response from an active-duty service member in return.
Major mobile wireless providers, including AT&T, Verizon, Sprint Nextel, and T-Mobile, will provide access to the Giving Thanks text messaging program.“We know that thousands of families will be sitting down for Thanksgiving dinner and thinking about loved ones who are far away from home serving their country,” Barber said. “We are counting on other American families to take a moment during their holiday celebration to think of those families and their family members who are serving and say, ‘Thanks.’

New Orleans, State to Pay $3.4M Judgment
NEW ORLEANS (AP) – The city and the state of Louisiana will pay the bulk of a $3.4 million racial discrimination judgment against the New Orleans District Attorney’s Office, officials announced Tuesday.
The judgment was awarded to 36 employees, 35 white and one Hispanic, who were fired and replaced by black employees shortly after Eddie Jordan took over as the city’s first black district attorney in 2003.
