I know this isn’t new, but given the fact that the left keeps calling Rush and his fans/listeners/students the fringe, and given the fact that the average daily readers of USA Today, Newsweek and The New York Times (The Whipping Boys Of The Left) totals less than 20 million viewers while Rush pulls in over 20 million listeners on his own… The fringe seems to be the left with the right becoming more center-ish, well let’s just say that I am in man-crush mode with him right now. So, in celebration of my faux-gheynitude, from 1994 (yes 94!):
Rush Limbaugh’s 35 Undeniable Truths
On top of being a VPilf she’s a great politicain, leader and role-model. Not to mention a fisherman, a hunter and a championship snowmobiler… But for some reason the Barry O camp thinks that they can criticize her for not being experinced? Really? REALLY?
It is pretty audacious for the Obama campaign to say that Governor Palin is not qualified to be Vice President. She has a record of accomplishment that Senator Obama simply cannot match. Governor Palin has spent her time in office shaking up government in Alaska and actually achieving results — whether it’s taking on corruption, passing ethics reform or stopping wasteful spending and the ‘bridge to nowhere.’ Senator Obama has spent his time in office running for President.
This is a politician I could get behind!
Old Harry “Poopy Pants” Reid is just mad as all tarnation at John McCain for basically correctly quoting him in a radio ad running in South Carolina. He apparently can’t grasp the fact that what he said was disgusting and shows his lack of ability to grasp the basics of being the people’s represative when he said, and I quote, “The War IS Lost” Video of him saying it is below.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is not at all pleased with a new radio ad being run by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in South Carolina.
According to CNN, McCain’s new ad blasts Reid for saying the “war is lost” earlier in the year. McCain has been one of President Bush’s biggest backers on his Iraq war policy.
“‘Seven months ago, Democrat majority leader Harry Reid said the war in Iraq was lost,” the ad begins. “Well, he was wrong,’” CNN reported.
CNN also noted that “Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, McCain’s most prominent booster in the state, speaks for the majority of the spot, saying ‘the troop surge is working’ and that ‘we need a president prepared to win.’”
Reid is very unhappy with McCain new radio ad, and a Reid aide fired right back at the Arizona Republican tonight.
“While I understand that Senator McCain is fighting to revive his failed presidential campaign, his remarks are at odds with the vast majority of the American people, who are demanding a responsible end to this war,” said Jim Manley, Reid’s spokesman. “These kinds of attacks — and his consistent support of a failed strategy that has kept our troops mired in an endless civil war in another country — will only undermine Senator McCain’s credibility with voters.”
Manley added: “Democrats have given the troops a pay raise, increased funding for veterans and most importantly have fought to give our soldiers what they deserve — a strategy for success. We will continue to oppose Bush Republicans like Senator McCain who are committed to a failed war strategy and to standing in the way of critical needs at home.”
