Over the last few weeks those of us living in Arizona have been bombarded by the media with stories about the State of Arizona requiring all businesses to use the E-Verify Employment-Eligibility Program starting on January 1, 2008. This program makes it easy for employers to check the eligibility of new employees by simply logging into the E-Verify website, entering the employees information that they provide on the standard I9 form that every new employee must fill out when hired. This is going to make sure that all Arizona business comply with the Legal Arizona Workers Act.
Beginning Jan. 1, all business owners in Arizona risk losing their state and local licenses if they knowingly or intentionally hire undocumented workers after that date. Licenses can be suspended for 10 days or longer for a first offense and revoked altogether for a second offense.
Basically this is going to prevent Arizona businesses from hiring illegal aliens. Presumably the companies are hiring these illegal because they will work for far less than the minimum wage and in return stuff the employer’s wallets. It could also be argued that the hiring of these illegal aliens also drive the overall wages down making it impossible for legal citizens to get a fair wage. It is estimated that there are 150,000 illegal aliens working in the State of Arizona currently. Nearly 6,000 employers had signed up for E-Verify, compared with fewer than 450 before the sanctions law was signed by the governor in July. Still, the 6,000 constitute just a fraction of the state’s 150,000 employers.
Now onto the part that all of you came here to read. I’m sure you can see all of the people you regularly see on the news who make excuses for the illegal aliens foaming in their drool cups right now and crapping themselves with anger. Here in Phoenix we are continually accused of being racists, nazis, fear-mongers and bigots for wanting our government to follow it’s own laws. So here it is…
Julie Pace, an attorney for the business groups, said the latest lawsuit contains the same arguments the first one did against the employer-sanctions law – that it’s an unconstitutional attempt by the state to regulate immigration and that cracking down on hiring illegal immigrants is the sole responsibility of the federal government.
The plaintiffs are providing evidence including a declaration by an Arizona employer who states that he is knowingly hiring an undocumented worker and intends to do so after Jan. 1 and has been specifically threatened by the county attorney that he is going to be prosecuted under the new law, Pace said Monday.
No Shit dumbass! Hey officers, um… I will be smoking a joint at my home, in the backyard at exacgtly 9:43 tonight if you want to just stop by or you’re in the neighborhood or whatever…
Now what I did was go to the website, I signed up, took a quick test on procedures, passed the test without even reading the manual, got certified, went in and E-Verified myself all in the span of about 20 minutes. Assuming that you had already gone through the certification process it would take less than 5 minutes for each person you needed to verify and receive a positive or negative reaction from the program.
Any business owner in Arizona or in America for that matter would be hard pressed to find something inconvenient about the program. Except those who want to hire illegals. There are many more nuances about the law that I could get into but I’m lazy and I don’t think you really care. So through out this post are important links to information regarding the topic. Plus here are a few more that may answer any questions you slobs may have.
• Here you can read the text of the law.
• The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services provides information about E-Verify. You can learn more about the program or sign up for it by going to USCIS
• Creative Business Resources, a human resources outsourcing company, operates a Web site intended to provide information about the law and how businesses must comply.
• The group Arizona Employers for Immigration Reform operates a site with information about the legal challenge to the law provided by those who are suing to overturn it.
• The American Civil Liberties Union is also among the groups suing to overturn the Arizona law and other illegal immigrant-related laws and ordinances nationwide.
I don’t think for a second that the guy in this video is actually capable of surviving a single day in the US. Not even with the closest friends could I ever see something like this being allowed by the people around me. I certainly wouldn’t let one of my friends or coworkers get away with this without popping them in the mouth. That being said I do know somewhere out there this guy is one of your coworkers, and for that I recommend a stapler stuffed into a sock.
But as far as this being racist against whitey I have to agree. If this was a black guy making the jokes about whitey or a Mexican against an Asain I think it would get jumped on and the producers would be shoved in front of Sharpton and made to grovel and apologize. But because it’s a white, middle aged male it is sort of overlooked. All I know is that I think it could have been done better. Possibly in a way that didn’t show any race making fun of another. But other races have made making fun of white people tolerable. Unfortunately subtle racism is worse than outright. Below this is a video showing racism against whitey going mainstream.
Anyways comment away.
(AP/CBS4) DENVER A diversity training video has drawn a complaint from a Denver city employee who claims its unfavorable portrayal of whites amounts to “institutional racism.”
The video titled, “Laughing Matters — Think About It,” features a white, blue-collar worker named Billy who’s portrayed as racist, sexist, and clueless while illustrating inappropriate humor.
“Diversity, to me, doesn’t mean hammer the white guy,” said Dennis Supple, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning mechanic who said he’s considering filing a lawsuit. “Diversity means you have respect for everyone, regardless of their race, their gender, their religion, their sexual orientation.”
Update Below… “School is terminating the university’s ideological reeducation program… ”
Thanks to BMAC for this…
Why oh why do I have to be a white-male? Why has God looked down upon me and cursed me so? Why do I have to be a racist simply because of the color of my skin? I’ll tell you how, through their I M A G I N A T I O N S! This story makes me sick and I think that any federal aid to this slimy disgusting school should be withdrawn immediately. Parents of students at the Unioversity of Deleware should demand their money back and charges should be pressed against the administration.
University to students: ‘All whites are racist’
Mandatory program ‘treats’ politically incorrect attitudes
A mandatory University of Delaware program requires residence hall students to acknowledge that “all whites are racist” and offers them “treatment” for any incorrect attitudes regarding class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality they might hold upon entering the school, according to a civil rights group.
“Somehow, the University of Delaware seems terrifyingly unaware that a state-sponsored institution of higher education in the United States does not have the legal right to engage in a program of systematic thought reform. The First Amendment protects the right to freedom of conscience – the right to keep our innermost thoughts free from governmental intrusion. It also protects the right to be free from compelled speech,” said a letter from Samantha Harris, director of legal and public advocacy for The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education to university President Patrick Harker.
The organization cited excerpts from the university’s Office of Residence Life Diversity Education Training documents, including the statement:
“A RACIST: A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. ‘The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture or sexuality. By this definition, people of color cannot be racists, because as peoples within the U.S. system, they do not have the power to back up their prejudices, hostilities, or acts of discrimination….’”

That douche-nozzle Harry “Poopy Pants” Reid has done it again. He’s proven our point over here on the right that he’s just a huge freakin’ jack-hole. After a closed door policy meeting with other Senate Democrats, (D) Harry Reid of Nevada went to field some questions for reporters and opened his mouth once again…
In response to a question on the energy bill, Reid said the following:
“As you know, one reason that we have the fires burning in Southern California is global warming. One reason the Colorado Basin is going dry is because of global warming.”
Six questions later, a reporter followed up on Reid’s amazing statement.
Question: Senator, on the California fires, you said that the reason the fires are burning in California is global warming?
Reid: No. Here’s what I – I didn’t say the reason the fires were burning in Southern California was global warming…
Thanks to Ace for reminding me of this…
STORY NUMBER ONE
Many years ago, Al Capone virtually owned Chicago .. Capone wasn’t famous for anything heroic. He was notorious for enmeshing the windy city in everything from bootlegged booze and prostitution to murder.
Capone had a lawyer nicknamed “Easy Eddie.” He was Capone’s lawyer for a good reason. Eddie was very good! In fact, Eddie’s skill at legal maneuvering kept Big Al out of jail for a long time.
This guy is such a scumbag. I heard about this this morning on my way into work on Laura Ingraham. By the way can I say my new job is the best job I’ve ever had… Anywhoo, how many times is this guy gonna skate through the media slamming us and this country then getting another million dollar movie deal before they (The Hollywood Jews) decide that when we see his face all we can see is him reaching around dictators like Chavez? Time after time we let him get away with this and quite frankly I’m just plain tired of it. Can someone please kick this asshole in his mouth? He’s trying to explain to Letterman (another worthless relic) how Chavez shutting down RCTV the Venezuelan TV channel known most widely for soap operas and for a three-year-old interview program that hammered Chavez regularly for his creeping fascism. Anyways, here is Spikoli trying to make some kind of lefty point about it…
